Sedibeng Special School, a school for deaf and intellectually impaired learners, recently received a donation of beds and couches, valued at around R10 000 from Selepe Projects.

The school currently caters for 105 vulnerable children with learning and other disabilities in the Lephalale area, from Grade R to Grade 9.

“We felt it fitting to support the Sedibeng Special School since we saw a very definite need at the school and believe in supporting and uplifting the communities in which we work”, commented Barry Kloppers, CEO of Selepe Projects, who has recently opened a branch in Lephalale.

The donation of 6 mattresses and bases as well as a 3 seater couch was handed over to Principal Malepa of the school by Veronica Cloete who represents Selepe in the area.

“Our objective is to provide a safe schooling environment for special needs learners and want to equip them for the future as best we can, however we face many challenges due to being under-resourced in various areas. We are therefore extremely grateful to Selepe Projects for their donation,” said Principal Malepa.
